About Olga Kordas

Dr. Olga Kordas has more than 20-years experience combining research, teaching and strategic innovation management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. She is an Associate Professor in Sustainable Urban Development, leading the research group “Urban Analytics and Transition” at KTH. Her research aims to understand and enable the transition toward sustainable urban systems using a fusion of complex systems science and innovation studies. Since 2017, she has been the Director of Viable Cities – the Swedish National Strategic Innovation Program for Smart and Sustainable Cities. Olga is leading Viable Cities Transition Lab aiming to develop and implement the Viable Cities theory of change and methods for transformative change towards the mission “Climate Neutral Cities 2030 with a good life for all within planetary boundaries”.

The climate contract - At the EU, national and municipality levels

Making the transition to climate-neutral and sustainable cities requires cooperation between citizens, politicians, businesses and civil servants on a scale never seen before. National, regional and local levels must work collectively in new ways, in the same direction to achieve climate-neutral cities. And we need to do it faster.
