About Björn Svensby Kurling

Björn Svensby Kurling is a Programme Manager within the thematic area Sustainable Built Environment at Vinnova. His main interest lies in policy for urban transition to climate neutrality, with a particular emphasis on the rethinking of how to use streets and public space. He is Vinnova’s contact person for the Driving Urban Transitions partnership, in which he also chairs the steering group of the 15 min city Transition Pathway. A political scientist by training, he has also worked as a consultant, at the Swedish Energy Agency and at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

Agencies in cooperation - Sweden in a European Partnership Program

Formas - a government research council for sustainable development, Vinnova - Sweden's innovation agency and the Swedish Energy Agency will engage in a panel discussion about the benefits of collaborating across agencies in the European Partnership Program Driving Urban Transitions (DUT). The panel will explore how such R&I instruments can be used to ensure innovative solutions towards a climate-neutral society reach the market and how this is preferably done in collaboration with academia, cities, companies, and various citizens’ initiatives.
