Associate Professor Fredrik Gröndahl is the Manager of the Blue Food Center at KTH. This center is financed by the Swedish Research Council, Formas and the Region of Västra Götaland, with eight academic partners and around 70 external partners engaged in the production of food both from ocean and freshwater systems. Fredrik is a marine biologist and industrial ecologist that has extensive experience within the cultivation of seaweeds and sustainable use of marine biomass. He is the coauthor of Sweden’s most used book on sustainable development and is also one of the co-founders of Nordic Seafarm, which is developing the cultivation of seaweeds in Sweden.
