Almi Invest GreenTech Fund is a pioneer in climate tech venture capital and is backing Swedish startups that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Fund was set up in 2016, with the European structural Fund, Swedish Energy Agency and state-owned funding company Almi as LPs. It has 65 million euros under management, has done 34 investments and two successful IPO’s. The Fund covers areas such as energy, transport, industry, new materials, circularity, agriculture and forestry. By scaling new technology into commercialisation, industrialisation and internationalisation the impact of investments becomes extensive and long-term. The Fund is well positioned with strong networks and domain competence. This session will give a presentation of the Fund, its creation, portfolio companies and experiences of venture capital investments in innovative companies that drive the green transition forward on the journey to net zero.
