About David Sonnek

David has worked more than 20 years in deep tech investment, having previously been the CEO at Industrifonden as well as heading SEB Venture Capital, the venture capital arm of the SEB Group. Before joining the Venture Capital Industry, he was the VP strategy and new products at Ericsson Telecom.
Parallel to his venture capital career, David has been involved in research and policy development in the field of innovations, start-ups and tech transfer. He has held a research position (adjunct professor) in Innovation Financing at KTH (the Royal Institute of Technology) and is a board member of the Swedish Innovations agency Vinnova. David has a research background in experimental atomic physics. He holds a Ph.D. from the KTH and an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.
