About Margit Noll

Margit Noll is CEO of the European Partnership Driving Urban Transitions, an intergovernmental research and innovation programme on sustainable urban development, financed by 28 European countries and the European Commission. The DUT partnership is the new programme of the Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe which Margit is coordinating since 2014. In 2016 she joined the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG, the Austrian funding agency for applied research and innovation. She was responsible for Corporate Strategy at the Austrian Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in research management and strategy development in organisations and networks. Margit has a PhD in physics and a MBA in general management.

Agencies in cooperation - Sweden in a European Partnership Program

Formas - a government research council for sustainable development, Vinnova - Sweden's innovation agency and the Swedish Energy Agency will engage in a panel discussion about the benefits of collaborating across agencies in the European Partnership Program Driving Urban Transitions (DUT). The panel will explore how such R&I instruments can be used to ensure innovative solutions towards a climate-neutral society reach the market and how this is preferably done in collaboration with academia, cities, companies, and various citizens’ initiatives.
